The Hoxton
Paris, France
Interior Architecture: Humbert & Poyet and Ennismore
After London, Amsterdam, and New York, The Hoxton has opened in Paris in a magnificent 18th-century townhouse. The living areas and 172 bedrooms have been redesigned, blending a 50s feel with industrial details. Special attention has been paid to some lighting fixtures, which were custom-made by Brossier Saderne.
In the reception area, the tone is set by the aged brass chandelier with its thirty-two opaline glass globes and the matching wall lights. In the corridors, the brass-edged ribbed glass wall lights provide a more subdued light. The bedrooms are adorned with elegant brass wall lights, simple curved sheets of metal whose colour echoes the golden interior of the black pendant lights.
